Get rid of the z first

add (1) and (2)
x - y = 5 (4)

add (2) and (3)
= 2x -2y = 6 (5)
= x - y = 3 (6)

Note that at this stage, (4) and (5) are inconsistent and the equations are not solvable.

sum 1 and 2 x-y=5
sum 2 and 3 2x-2y= 6 so x-y=3 so the system is incompatible
