Wendy, I am thinking that Whoopi probably watched the original show as a kid, because she definitely wasn't old enough to be on the original show.

The key word is "original" HS. My fav was Charley Weaver. I watched that show religiously. The set was well seasoned with great stars & I loved playing along as the questions were asked. Paul Lynde was another fav but Charley was "my guy." I loved how he dressed. His humor was awesome. Wally Cox was funny too. Peter Marshall was a great host. There were a total of 139 stars who graced HS when Peter Marshall was host.

wendygurl...I don't think Whoopi starred on the "original" Hollwood Squares.

Since you said besides Paul Linde, I had to think for a moment. I always loved Rose Marie and the little clippy bow she always wore in her hair! She had just the right amount of sarcasm in her answers.
