sure....I dont see anything wrong with it at all...... my father and I used to do this alot when I was a little kid... I used to be so scared.... because my friends would talk about monsters, ghosts... etc..... mabey this is also what your child had gone through?
but gradually I would wake up in the night and be all alone, and would not be scared anymore.. I guess it was his way of getting me used to sleeping by myself....

I don't think it's a problem until they're a little older, then they need to sleep in their own bed. At such a young age as 9, I don't see a problem. When they're getting to be 12 and 13, I wouldn't let it continue. Not that anything is wrong with a good father-daughter or mother-son relationship, it just is not the best thing to do.

I know my sister used to sleep with my parents, up until she was at least 8 or 9, and my boyfriends sister sleeps with her parents too, and shes 11 I think. I think that it's acceptable up until a certain point...like once they start hitting 12 and 13 it starts to get "weird" per say, but if it's just a comfort thing for your child, then there really is nothing wrong with it.

If its to comfort the child, then I think its fine. But children need their own bed for the most part (especially at 9 years old).
However, since your question seems to indicate your discomfort, I would just say "no" since it makes you uncomfortable.

I would say that it's ok on certain occasions. A bad dream, scarred of a storm, a major change like a death in the family, or a move to a new house. But if it's happening everynight then I would dig to find the reason why they need to sleepw ith you and fix that problem.

A family contributors has to do what it has to do. those unassociated with them could butt out and abandon their innovations of perversion. A one mattress room living is greater effective than a automobile, is it not? A 2 mattress room place of living in a nicer area of city beats a three or 4 mattress room interior the initiatives. What real privateness it somewhat is mandatory? changing can take place interior the bathing room or one sibling can go away the room on a similar time as the different is doing what they could. are not getting me incorrect, I specific it could suck, yet whilst it comes all the way down to a brother and sister and in user-friendly terms one room, the alternative to sharing is sending one away. destroy up an in any different case functioning family contributors? stupid.

if it is a one time only deal, like during a thunderstorm or terrible night mare but really the best way to handle this and to dtop it before it starts is to take the child back to their own bed and tuck them in lie down next to them and gently calm them down and explain why they need to sleep in their own bed and assure them you are only a few feet away if they need you(even set up one of those alert systems to make them feel more secure)*

Depends on why?? My daughter sleeps in my bed if she is sick or scared. When my son was little, I let him (for the same reasons) till he was about 5 or 6, then he slept on the floor below me if needed.

I slept with my dad for years. I don't really remember what age but I remember him telling me one night that I had reached the age that I could not sleep with him anymore. I cried and cried because I didn't understand.

I think nine years old is fine. I let my 11 year old son sleep with me sometimes when we are watching wrestling and he falls asleep.
