Why have Dems never voted to condemn those executions?

Some of the shooters might have been your grandfathers.

""The killing of unarmed POWs did not trouble many of the men in I company that day for to them the SS guards did not deserve the same protected status as enemy soldiers who have been captured after a valiant fight. To many of the men in I company, the SS were nothing more than wild, vicious animals whose role in this war was to starve, brutalize, torment, torture and murder helpless civilians." There was also the payback for Melmedy. American troops massacred Germans in revenge.

Not mine...
War is hell, & that is past history & has very little to do with what is happening today. And, oh, by the way, war is hell.

In a war as large as W W 2 many unauthorized incidents pop up . I'm sure that some German prisoners were killed . and I saw first hand many American prisoners who were murdered by the Germans .
But I can say , for certain that the cases of prisoner killing by Americans was next to zero .
I personally fought from France all the way to Czechoslovakia where we met the Russians coming the other way . I was in the front-line infantry every inch of the way . We killed thousands of Germans , and had many many killed by them . In all that time and distance , I never saw an un-armed person harmed in any way.
No one has spent more time than I have in the front lines ( the entire war ) . I am extremely proud of our fighting men . We captured thousands of prisoners . Never once have I seen a prisoner harmed or mis-treated . Stories of prisoner killing or brutality , although some may be true, were very very few .

It was and is a war crime to execute unarmed prisoners of war. That it was not prosecuted at the time does not excuse current crimes.

EDIT: I'm not sure what your point is in screaming about US massacres of Germans. If you are trying to prove that the US is a terrorist state, you are doing a good job.

Oh, by the way, killing unarmed prisoners is not torture, it is murder. It is also a crime but it is a different one.

The reason was they were all Democrats in those days. And Democrats never criticize Democrats. Just joking.

On a more serious note. What you are talking about is spilled milk. And the incident referred to did happen at Dachau. If I had been there I probably would have helped and it wouldn't have bothered me either.

No it was the reality of war both sides murdered innocent pows and civilians. And all sides used forms of torture to gain information or to strike fear into the civilian population. But i get your drift on this!! Like that lil snake Pelosi and her compatriot in misinformation Hilary first they condone it and then conveniently condemn it. I'm so sick and tired of "liberal" politicians twisting the issue to benefit themselves. If you are for it then be for it if you are against it be against it!! Spineless gutless two faced charlatans all of em.

Oh, you know... murder is always bad. Maybe except for self-defense. Why is making exceptions for political executions any better or worse than any other kind of exception, like capitol punishment or assassinating tyrants?

They also made German citizens tour the "work camps" to show them the real horrors being committed there. Was that torture or good?

Politicians are the last people to ask, "WWJD?"

Different era of time and vehicles for dissemination of information. Also there are some pretty major societal differences.

I love the third grade rational here. It's okay we did it before or if someone else does it. It's a war crime and it's not okay.

Execution and imprisonment are not the same as torture. Don't assume someone who is anti-torture is a pacifist or doesn't have the stomach for conflict. It's the cruelty and uncertainty that makes the difference for me.

Somebody needs a dictionary. Execution and torture are two separate ideas.
