how do i make spells and potions in morrowind on the pc??

i have very much got into this game but i am stuck on how to make potions and spells as i did not get an instruction book with the game can any one help me? PLEASE!!!

To make potions you need ingredients for one and then you need at least a mortar and pestel. Activate the mortar and pestel in your inventory and it should be pretty self explanatory after that, experiment with the different ingredients. You can make better potions by getting your skill up and finding an alembic, calcinator, and one other thing that I can't think of at the moment.

To make spells you need to find somebody that will allow you to make spells, it's like a shop. Check mage's guilds since each mage's guild usually has at least one person that lets you make spells. You'll have effects available to you relating to the spells you actually own so if you want to make a certain type of spell you usually have to have some version of it purchased already.
