When hormonal changes occur it's really hard to keep up with chin hairs and mustaches on women. Those hairs can grow an inch a week. Some women don't have the money to take corrective measures through electrologist or hormonal treatments. If that sort of thing is even covered by insurance, a lot of poor women don't have insurance or money for doctors. Other women are allergic to waxing or bleaching. So have a little heart when you see a mustache on a woman. I'm sure it bothers her a lot more than it bothers you.
Edit to add: I once saw a guy who had eyebrows so long he literally had them in his line of vision. You couldn't help staring and wondering why he didn't just cut them. (Most older guys do have to start trimming them.) You guys can also look forward to long ear and nose hairs as you get older---your version of the female mustache. Aging is an equal opportunity experience.

I'm a woman in my early 40's and I have grown out my mustache. I grew it for Movember & haven't shaved it since then and I'm enjoying it! I'm a business woman and I've actually been complimented on it. I keep it neat and have started adding some mustache wax to enhance it further. I think a woman can do what ever makes her feel good. Why should we please everybody else! If some guy wants to stare at my mustache who cares! I feel liberated!

It depends more on the ethnicity of the woman than her age. Brunette women of Mediterranean ancestry tend to have more body hair and therefore, are more likely to have mustaches. I've even seen some with sideburns. However, in that part of the world, that is considered sexy. I remember seeing pictures of a Barbie doll being sold in Iran. This doll had a unibrow, which is not considered sexy in the US. You can't get a unibrow or a mustache if you never had much facial hair in the first place.

LOL; I have seen them with moustaches and full beards...and one with a huge mole, which is bad enough, but this one had two long wiry black hairs projecting upward just like a TV antenna...ei yi yi. I doubt they even look in a mirror.
EDIT: Yes, man boobs...just remembered that afer reading another answer here...they really do need a manseer or a bro, like on Seinfeld! Some of them are HUGE!

Agree with Shelob...I know I should love myself the way I am, but if I let my 'stache grow, I'd look like Fu Manchu in a pencil skirt. Wax on!

well yer a guy so you prolly wont get it as much as us girls. isf it was an old lady it coulda been from metopause if not that she could just have long hair or something && everyone knows if you shave something off it'll grow back faster && darker. so she might not want it to do that so she just leaves it alone && hopes no one will laugh at her for it

I once told my sister a tip, that absolutely any hair around mouth is a big turn off because it looks so manly.
and you think she does not realize and must think its ok but it looks real bad, and its annoying,
im sure guys annoy girls too in similar ways but women just avoid these men and sleep with who they prefer that night out.
just one little razor stroke is all it takes. i dont get it either, i guess its innate.

Yeah, but she's probably tired of fighting it.
For every woman with a mustache...there's probably FIVE guys with those ridiculous comb-overs...don't THEY see those dead squirrel pelts when they look in the mirror?

In case you don't know there is a condtion whereby a woman grows hair like a man...it is sad that people can't accept that everyone is not as perfect as they are.
