What is it about dressing up your 3 year old like a prosti-tot and parading her in front of a room full of potential pedophiles that you find acceptable? Isn't this really just another form of child abuse?

No, I've never watched that show. Interesting coincidence, I guess.

I don't agree with the all made up pagents that are out there. My daughter when she was younger did a couple of local pagents. Pretty dresses, and little girls without makeup. It gave her some great experience as for getting on stage, she has danced since she was 2 and is now 7.

I don't care for and agree with you that the fake teeth and hair extensions, caked on make up is too much. There is nothing cutier than a little girl with her 2 front teeth missing and black and blue knees. It means they are children having fun, not stuck sitting on a chair so you don't muss your make up or dirty your 600.00 pagent outfit. I think it is a racket. Hell look at the one contestent from Miss Teen USA this year, she couldn't even answer a simple question......

I think maybe the parents are trying to live through their daughters. And maybe the kids enjoy playing dress-up at first, and their parents hang on to that as justification.
