I want to buy a Mac, but I'm scared, now! See this thread in Ars Technica, and tell me whether you've experienced the same thing, oh please, oh please! http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=81413

Well, I have an imac so I can't tell you about latptops personally but I haven't heard of that happening. Plus the whole issue is irrelevant anyway b/c the post says that the issue does not occur with the 10.5.1 update. When you get your mac it will either already have 10.5.1 or it will automatically detect that the system needs updating and you'll just update. That takes less than 5 minutes. and you'll have the update. My imac is running 10.5.1. The patch came out a few weeks ago.

I haven't had any problems with my keyboard, but the click wheel on my Mighty Mouse refuses to scroll up or down. Of course, that's probably an issue with my mouse and not the operating system itself.
