Are you going out of town with your family and/or friends at all for the holiday season, or are you staying home?
We are just going to stay home because all of our family and friends are here.

My winter holiday starts as soon as the fall holliday ends and will continue until the spring and summer holidays come. (I'm retired)

Not really. Even though I've bought the gofts and gone through the motions and bought a potted tree. I'm empty in the emotional part. I have my kids and husband with me. However my parents are both dead so it doesnt hold the same joy as it once did. I was very close to both of them relationship ways . So when I lost them both , the magic disappeared as well.
I do however focus on Christ more with each year. Still give gifts as He is all about giving.
I may however be going to visit with some of my in laws in Florida for the New Year. If not we'll just find something different to do with the 4 of us here. I try to do new things or create new traditions to continue with each year. So maybe we'll find another one to bring in more cheer.

Staying home with my wonderful, crazy kids. Single mom of 4, 5 & 6. Not sure how yet but I am determined to get my lights & christmas tree up this weekend. I am also determined to have a sweet wonderful happy christmas with my loves and try as hard as I can to remember THESE ARE THE BEST OF TIMES AND I WILL MISS THEM WHEN THEY PASS. I put that in caps b/c I have to repeat it to myself often! Happy holidays to all.

It will be 70*+ here in Atlanta. Hard to believe I put up my Christmas lights and decorations in shorts and a tank top. In my home state of Michigan they are freezing and there is snow. So, to answer your question, YES, my Winter Holiday HAS started!

NO my job does not give me any kind of Winter Holidays. I only get Christmas Day off, and I don't even celebrate Christmas.

I'm alone (divorced this year) my daughter will be over Christmas day to eat with me. I think I'll make a Hot Toddy would you like one???

I live in the Netherlands... no, our hols haven't started yet (not until TWO WEEKS TIME - boo school TT_TT)

I get off from baby sitting next Thursday until January 2nd and my hours are down at my other job so I will say next Thursday. I am SO looking forward to sleeping in!
