Since most the shootings and killings that occur in the US take place at "gun free zones" would not having gun free zones make us safer?
Example, Columbine - school / V-Tech - College / Mall shooting in Omaha.
When these people snap, they go and target areas where people are gun free and helpless. Would things be different if there weren't gun free zones and American citizens were able to bare arms. Like the constitution calls for?
And this would not only be for pyschos on shooting sprees. Do you think the average criminal would think twice about robbing a gas station or anyone or anything if he thought that maybe he would be shot and killed in doing so?

To add to this. For those responding about pyschological exams and shootouts, you have no idea what it takes to get a conceal and carry permit.
They don't just give them out to everyone. You can't be a felon. You must go to so many hours of class. Trust me, they weed out the crazy's. Not everyone in America can carry a gun.
