I am not sure if you have time to do this but my sister and I did this for our Grandmother. Make a list of people in his life that were important or touched his life, people he has know in his life. Send them a letter explaining what you are doing and you would like them to write something about him, either a fond memory, good wishes, anything ...........enclose nice paper for them to use and a self addressed stamped envelope for them to return the paper, give them the option to include any photos they may have.........good luck.

Thank you for remembering your stepfather during this season. I have two steps of my own, and have never received this kind of recognition. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

Some suggestions: if you have any pictures of his high school or college graduations, make a copy of those. I still remember some of my high school friends from, well, back then !. Likewise college, if he attended: maybe a small pennant or flag that would fit on the page, or clippings of any sports events he took part in.

Do you have any pictures of when he and your mother were dating? Maybe a trip to a state park or wherever, just you, Mom, and her special guy. Or a picture of when the three of you decided he was the one!

Microsoft Word is easy (okay, sometimes easy :/) so maybe you could make a pseudo-newspaper with headlines like "Vicky Jones (or whatever your Mom's Name is) Finds True Love" with you and your sister each making an article.

But above all, listen to what he talks about. Men these days are more and more reluctant to talk about much of anything, so what they DO say is important. This is especially true if your step-dad is a man of few words, or doesn't say much. If he does talk a lot, then your problem is that of condensing it.

Thanks again for wanting to honor your step-father. I hope he and all your family has the most wonderful Christmas ever!
