I watched a lot more tv before I discovered Y!A. I have TiVo so I am not a slave to the schedule anymore . I have several shows I follow-I watch 1 hour a night to calm down before sleep-but I am getting behind. I love crime shows like Without a Trace and Criminal Minds. I am following the Heroes and Lost shows-but I don't know why. I embarassedly admit to watching Grey's Anatomy I love history channel-haven't watched enough to have repeats yet.

I'm disgusted that "Wrestling", Jerry Springer, American Idol and all the stupid reality shows seem to be gaining popularity while no one is watching The Science Channel, The Discovery Channel or The History Channel. It doesn't look good for our society that "trash tv" is so popular.

I watch more A&E than anything along w/Discovery and History channels. I'm a First 48 junkie and have seen most of the CSI and Law & Order shows. My hubby hates it that when I have the remote it is the first 48...I tivo it so he just thinks it is on all the time. I do try to watch them in the daytime so as to not torture him. 2 of my daughters who used to taunt me over the show are now avid viewers. They watch Intervention also. Also 60 minutes and other news shows

CSI..... Sports... and REAL reality shows, the kind that're on Home and Garden, Travel, History Channel and Discovery Channel. I've been getting new shows on History and Discovery.
I love Norm Abrams' "New Yankee Workshop" because I take woodworking classes. I love to learn.
When I was younger, I used to watch sitcoms but lately, they all seem to be the same and canned laughter is boring.
I'd rather DO than WATCH, anyway.

I work nights so I don't get to watch too many shows.I do have a favorite program that I watch when I am off and have been a fan ever since it started. The show is called Smallville.I don't know if you heard of the show.It is the story of young Clark Kent/Superman.There are a lot of shows these days that you can't keep up so I stuck with this show. This is a show that I can watch with my kids unlike other shows where there is too much skin-revealing/sex scenes, cheap sex humor etc.

I like House, 30 Rock, The Office, some PBS programs, especially The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. But the stretch from the end to the beginning of the baseball season is almost too long for me.

Wally, if you really want to see a good TV show, watch Boston Legal. I am not kidding. It is so funny and so much like true life.
James Spader and William Shatner just make for the very best of television. Also, Candace Bergen. Please try. It comes on tonight at 8 pm central time. (It is Tuesday when I write this)
Of course, this is my opinion, but it is my favorite show and I pick it above any other television show.
I do like "Saving Grace" on TNT but it is only one for a few months out of the year, but worth watching as well.
I am quite bored with Grey's Anatomy now as well as Desperate Housewives. Such a bunch of nighttime soap opera. (of course, I still watch it).

I have to agree walt. I'm sick of american tv in general. Bunch of crappy reality shows, hospital shows, crime dramas that bore me to death.
Although I do like wife swap. It really shows how stupid people are in america. And I like kitchen nightmares. Cause I use to be a cook once, its fun to see how screwed up restaurants are.
But lately I've been delving into the world of korean and japanese movies and dramas and I've found some really good viewing material in this. Dramas probably aren't for everyone, but the movies are pretty cool.

My Canadian friend Red Green and the Brit humor on PBS Saturday noights . "Keeping up Appearances" and "Are you Being Served" were a couple of my favorites. But they've been replaced by "Thurmoman" and Something with a healthclub with Brightass as the manager. (The droll humor of the Brits, and the Canadian "redneck" humor finishes off my week in style.)
