I still use them for grease, I just let it cool first. My hubby keeps odd sized work bench doodads in them in the garage, and my daughter puts her blocks and puzzle pieces in them. If you ARE getting senile, throw them into the neighbor's tree. Who's going to say anything?

I use them for left-over soup, or veggies...They make good containers for home-made mac or potato salad. Once the grease cools down, it's okay for storing them in. The go well in the freezer if you want to make mass quantities of soups and chillies.

Not much you can do with them, I use to use them to scoop up soil in the garden, you can place stuff inside of them, nuts screws, bolts, washers, nails, label the outside of the container and you are good to go.
