A company called Sweco estimated that Santa would only have 34 microseconds per stop if he was going to deliver presents to all the children in the world OF ALL FAITHS.

HELLO? Do we now have to submit even our myths and legends to the ridiculous buzzsaw of political correctness? If you're going to assume that Santa is real and that he delivers presents on Christmas Eve, then you have to assume that he's delivering to CHRISTIAN children, as this is a Christian holiday. When will the madness end?

Folks, just because some people have hijacked the Santa lore and others have "adopted" it does NOT change the origin of the figure. Does he deliver on Ramadan? No. Does he deliver on Chanukah? No. He does his thing on Christmas, and for those of you not in the know, the reason was to reinforce the message of God giving us the greatest gift of all - His only son. Congratulations on supporting the PC movement and all of its absurdity.

Why are you getting bent over that article? Santa is a character that's renowned around the world in many different cultures. I would much rather read an article than that, one that is intended to make you smile, rather than all the depressing news of Iraq, shootings, other crime, politics and everything else the news consists of. Why can't we just accept that it was meant to be something lighthearted for the season. In no way was it saying Santa exists or doesn't. It was simply saying IF Santa exists, here's how it COULD be possible. It was meant to drive the imagination, not insult.

It didn't bother me at all. It was a fun article. As for the Christian bit, why just Christians? I know a lot of people that celebrate Christmas that aren't Christians. They celebrate it for all of the same reasons many of us do minus the birth of Christ part. I also know some Christians that don't celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Christ (but I'm going down a tangent here). My point is that a lot of people believe in Santa Claus that aren't Christian.

Also, they are assuming that all children believe in Santa (which is the point I think they are trying to make).

But regardless, my son loved the article because it made him think. It didn't change his belief in Santa, but made him try to work out the possibilities in his head. Afterall, Santa to many is ficticious. So, why couldn't he play with the space/time concept either by stopping it or slowing it. I like the idea that Santa works with time bubbles; like snow globes, time stands still while you are in the bubble. If you were in the snow globe you would not notice that time has stopped. One second outside of the globe could be equivalent to 20 minutes in the globe. That was my son's idea. I like it, it's magical. Besides, he's at the age where he has either figured it out and is playing along for the fun of it or is about to figure it out.

So, instead of seeing a lemon in the article, try making lemonade, or lemon bars, or lemon meringue pie. It is certainly not worth getting upset about.

Maybe it was silly to add the "of all faiths" comment, but get over it. Either enjoy Santa, or ignore him. The world won't come to an end over this.

What makes you think Santa is religious? I don't see him mentioned in the Bible. Santa has nothing to do with the religious aspect of Christmas. Maybe he is an atheist, who knows?

LEAVE SANTA ALONE!
Let him say HO HO HO
Let him smoke his pipe
fercripesakes people!
