As long as Islam remains the dominant religion in the middle east, they will continue the regressive policies which date back to the seventh century A.D. and even further. There can be no progress when your example is an illiterate, child-raping, war-mongering thief like Muhammad.

They are stuck in the Middle Ages as a society.
Religious leaders control the wealth and everything else,just as it did in 1000 AD.

Well, the Muslims in that region are about 1100 years behind modern man so maybe in another 1500 years they might be up to where we are now...but I doubt it.

No. It is a domination thing right now, similar to that of Europe in it's conquests to spread christianity hundreds of years ago. Islam is younger that Judaism and Christianity - it too will modernize.
