I wouldn't worry about it. In terms of statistical probability, you are FAR more likely to be killed in a car accident driving to the mall than you are to be killed by a crazed gunman at the mall.
Leave the kevlar vest at home, but do remember to buckle your seatbelt.

First of all, in the past 50 years, there have been fewer school shootings than you have fingers and toes. That's 1 school shooting per 2-3 years for the entire world. That isn't that many.
Secondly, these actions are committed by socially retarded lunatics who are so introspective that they've completely lost touch with reality. Nobody knows what goes on in their heads because they're so abnormal and don't reveal much of their personality to the outside world. The world is full of mentally ill misfits, yet only a small fraction of them go on shooting rampages. Because of these things, nobody can predict who is going to shoot up a school.
Worrying about being in one of these tragedies is like worrying about being hit by lightning. In fact, I think far more people get killed by lightning than school shootings.

Funny.
Church is the least safe place in the world. Your children are almost certainly guaranteed to be brain-washed into zombies there.
Thrill-seekers on shooting rampages are hardly likely to make a dent in your life... statistically speaking.

I think about it too, and although I was somewhat reclusive before, I'm even more so now. I go to the post office, the market and the gas station and that's about it. I feel best when I'm home. People are so nuts any more...

More schools do NOT have shooting than do. Tally the amount of schooting and the amount of non-shootings, can't argue with stats. The news covers them so much it seems like it happens everyday.

Sometimes you just cant worry about things that you cant control, homeschool if your worried that much, but think about the social separation your children can have.

I worry about it. It is so sad and scary that it even happens. What could make a person do that? I just don't understand. You never know if or when it's gonna happen.

Not worried about it at all. I don't worry about "waiting on a bad situation to happen" If it happens... I'll deal with it then... I'm not going to ruin my "now" with the what if's of life.
Just worry about the things you can control... not the things you can't.

Theres always going to be people that cross the line. People closest to those who do it, say they saw the signs but did nothing. I think If we see the signs maybe we should do something.
