We're in the 21st century
where data is dear
So forever the theft of it
will always be near

Nothing is sacred
it's such a crock
No one is safe
not even under a rock

Use 3rd party payment
A/V and firewalls
For if you're not carefull
You'll be had by the curly's or balls

As long as you're not foolish
with your info online
If the Government don't screw up
You're sure to be fine

But if they do
They'll pass you the blame
At 2 pound per credit check
to keep clear your name

The next thing is a warning to all concerned in these disc fiascos telling them to be extra vigilant and check credit ratings (£2 a go to 3 agencies) regularly.
So the onus is neatly shifted to the victim. I call that the ultimate cheek.

wow! i was just reading about that do you think its been going on for ages and they are all just trying to get it out of the way now with xmas coming up. The post offices in England have always been a bit suspect in who they employ especially with so many agency workers. Does anyone else get 100 emails a day saying you've money waiting for you and all you have to do is send your details? details are the new gold it seems..

Its a bit frightening!! I got a letter to say my details were on one of those discs!!! Apprently details of people on witness protection schemes were on those discs too!

Its probably the only time in my life that I'm glad I'm not loaded, if anyone tried to steal my identity and get a credit card they would be told to get lost lol

Dont u think that its a bit strange all this is happening? Firstly why do they need discs to transfer information, when they can do this electronically and secondly why just lately and has it happened in any other countries apart from the U.K.
Something is afoot!

Being a deeply suspicious and cynical ol' s*d, could this be the revenge of the Civil Service for Gordon Brown declaring so many of them redundant in the past few months???
