My belief is personal. But let me state that I didn't vote for Bob Dole in the past because of his stance to completely abolish it.

I personally would never have an abortion unless the child was going to be severely disabled and it's quality of life would be horribly decreased. Or if my health/life was in danger. Many young girls/women use abortion as a form of birth control. Which of course I don't agree with... Here is what I agree with...

Abortion as a result of...

child deformity/retardation/brain damage
mother's life at risk
rape/incest

Just my opinion. The reason why I will not vote for someone who wants to abolish it is because I believe there is an exception to every rule...

Also, I am republican...

I am a conservative who votes republican - (OK you closed minded intolerant liberals can now click on the thumbs down and avoid the rest)

I believe that abortion is wrong, and these are these are reasons why:

1) Not simply a blob - science has proved that when two sex cells join, they take on half the needed material from the mother and the other half from the father forming the complete needed chromosomes to continue the process of life. A DNA test would prove that the "BLOB" has only 50% of the markers needed to prove that statistaccly it is an offspring of one of the two parents.

2) Rape is a viable reason to abort- tell that the the child who had nothing to do with the rape. I don't believe a child should pay for the sins of their parents. Or else, I would hunt down the parents of some of my liberal friends and make them pay for bringing these liberals into the world. (just kidding folks, having some fun here)

3) I don't (didn't) want a child - if convinence is the principle we are after here, then I want that rule extended. There are some children (and keep in mind we are all someone's child) running around this planet that could use a post-birth abortion in a big way - oh, wait, that would be murder, we can't do that.

I'm neither Republican, nor Democrat, but lean a little to the right politically.

I believe abortion is legal until the U.S. Supreme Court says otherwise, or a Constitutional Amendment banning it is passed and ratified.

Other than that, I'm neutral on the issue. I have heard arguments from both sides, and I agree with many points on both sides. Therefore, I stay neutral on the subject.

I dont fully support any party because both have good points and bad but I think we can bring this dumb debate to an end if we only educate 10 year olds on how to use condoms and where to get them and that is if we are to make abortion a choice, so let it be a wise choice over a smart decision that was preventable in the first place. As far as republicans favoring life, it's hypocritical to favor it now when they keep sending troops to die in Iraq as young as 18 for crying out loud!

It has always been a personal and medical issue. The decision to terminate a pregnancy is a difficult one and anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken. In the end we are all judge by our Creator and not by individuals.

Democrat

If a woman is brutally gangraped and becomes pregnant she should have the choice to abort. If a woman has medical problems due to her pregnancy that may result in death she should have the choice to abort. If the fetus is severely deformed she should have the choice to abort.

If a woman has an unwanted pregnancy because she was not responsible enough to use proper birth control she should not be allowed to abort.

Put the baby up for adoption, or keep your legs closed.

Republican.

The #1 cause of abortion is the stigma on unwed mothers from the Republicans.

I am a non-partisan Democrat.

I think it's a non-issue that has been overly politicized thanks to the Religious Right in this country.

Roe vs. Wade is settled law. Personally, I'd rather the government stayed out of the fray altogether and leave it as a state's issue. The federal government should have no jurisdiction over what people can take into or do to their own bodies.

Abortion is murder. Its not a choice, its a child. If you get pregnant because you had sex, then there are consequences and you are responsible for your own actions. Take responsibility. There is a beating heart only 2 weeks after conception, its a baby. Over 1.2 million abortions occur every year! Over 48 million babies in our country have been aborted since roe v. wade was passed in the 70's. 48 million!! That's over 1/3 of our generation has not even been given the chance to live!

In a perfect world, abortion should NEVER happen.

In this world, people should be properly educated and informed in order to limit the number of unwanted pregnancies and give the pregnant person all of her options.

But, in the end, it is none of my business what a woman does with her fertilized eggs.

I am a Liberal.
