The point of life is to use it to glorify God. He does not get any glory by you wasting away in front of a tv.

If all you do is sit in front of the TV, then there is no point to life.

I see life like running a race. The point is not just to reach the finish line. It's all the discipline and preparation it takes to get there. While athletes will tell you that winning is great, doing a personal best is just as important, because YOU know you did the very best that you were capable of doing.

In life, whatever is your "passion" is YOUR race. And cultivating that passion and doing the very best you can in it is the point.

"The Great End of Life is not Knowledge, but Action"
-T.H. Huxley

"If the eyes were made for seeing, then beauty is it's own excuse for being"
-Ralph Waldo Emmerson

In other words, things exist, because they're meant to exist. It's what we do with them that makes a difference, that leaves a mark.

Our purpose in life is to leave this world a better place than when we found it. Those that do not will be forgotton, and fall victim to their own self-fullfilling prophecy of stagnation.

I have a question for you, are you really that dense? Or are you just lazy? Life is great when you get out there and get involved. Get a job to provide what you have to have a place to live, food and the normal bills. Then start trying things. Climb a wall. Jump out of a plane. Join the military. Find a mountain trail to hike up. If your to much of a tight-wad, borrow a fishing line a tent and go catch a fish. Not into physical activities? Okay, be a Big Brother, donate blood, write a book, don't have that much to say, write and article. Call a school and offer to tutor some kids after school. Find someone to help. Volunteer at a homeless shelter. Not into helping others. Find a politician you believe in and help get them elected to something. Go to collage or back to collage and expand your own mind. Not interested in normal courses, there are collages that teach all kinds of off the wall things.
Sure we're all going to die, but lifes a great thing if you get off the rear and put a little effort into it. Hell I'm disabled, I'm paying for all those rocks I climbed, the waves I surfed, the miles I hiked, the trails I skied, the ice skates, the roller skates/blades, the weeks I got only two hours of sleep a night because I was working two jobs and partying in between because I wanted some extra money to go some place or do something new. I learned to fly a plane, (expensive hobby),
I've poked around in some great caves (and waded through bat guano). I've panned for gold, (rather boring), I spent some time in the Army. I've had gourmet meals and beans right out of the can. I've had real money and been broke. My doctor asked me what I had done to beat myself up so bad over the years, I told him I may be falling apart now but I had a hell of a good time getting here. Many people as they get up in years say if I had my life to live over I would do _______ . When people are close to death too many say, "Oh I wish I had done _______, I wish I had gone to______. There will be very little for me to wish I had done because I'm still trying new things. I may be banged up, but there's things I can still do that is new and exciting. I came to the conclusion a long time ago, nothing is going to stop me short of death, and maybe not then because if the good Lord's willing there's a few folks I'd love to come back and haunt. Oh and would I have fun, moving keys, they would run out to get the paper and the door would some how get locked. They would turn on a light and it would turn off. I would make a really good obnoxious ghost. See I don't plan to quit even after I die.
In other words, "GET A LIFE" AND HAVE A BALL DOING IT!

Life is what you make it, so it depends how how you define life. If people were satisfied with watching TV all day then they would be doing it. But we want more from life, there are so many great things to do in this world, we can make a difference.

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.

Thats what I asked! I mean, learn all you want and have kids who cares! You wont remember them, you'll be dead anyway. We should just do whatever we want to, have fun, die.

you have the views of a very selfish person..
Other people make a point to life and yes we are going to die one day.
so why not make the most of it and help others and learn so you can really help others and keep our Human's alive and growing

plus just like anything one point to life is reproduction so we don't be come gonners!

Try to look at the hole thing instead of individual humans because that is really selfish!
