I think that history such as this is important to remember. If we do not learn from the past we are doomed to make the same mistakes. This part of history should teach us toleranmce for things that we do not understand and for people that seem different from us... Not everything in this life is cut and dry... There are people that are smarted. there are people that have a special insight and people that can do things that otheres can not.. There are people that are tall. fat skinny and short... We are all equest in the eyes of god even if we can not all do teh same things on the planet... This part of our dark history shows just how stupid the human race can be if we follw the crowd and not our heart or even our knowlegde.... Knowledge was something that was considered heretic... The dark ages were full of this same problem.... Scientific research adn usage was enough to get you burned at the stake.....

The witch trails are just a symptom of humantiy.... If we do not wake up they will continue...... in a different form

Witch hunts were a way to deny women any rights. If a woman got a little too troublesome, she could be declared a witch. In order to prove it ,she would be water boarded. She would be tied to a long pole, then dunked repeatedly into a pond. If she didn't drown, she was declared a WITCH,and burned at the stake! That method was very successful in finding witches! Thousands of women were murdered.
Not much has changed! Now we waterboard suspected terrorists!
