There are portions of the US that are breathtaking, but other parts that you'd rather not look at.
What's wrong? The judicial system, the penal system, the handling of Social Security funds. No free health care for the poor, disabled & elderly (without being treated like trash through the welfare offices). I'd mention more, but I can't type fast enough.
Yes, there are many people who think Americans are corrupt....some Americans included.

Well, I think enough of America has been made not beautiful so that a majority of Americans are concerned with keeping and making America more beautiful. There are many peoples and laws and movements in place that are working to make and keep America beautiful as we go forward and for a long time into the future.

If you really want to know the truth about America look around you. It is not "America the Beautiful." People are so divivded that the littlest differance between us makes us a taboo on our own. There are people here who need our help and attention, and that is all directed to ridiculous bullshit. We are slipping into a depression and all I can say is that America is a spoiled country. Yes, people think we are corrupt because we are sometimes. America is not what it was long ago, but it will be someday again.

Certain parts of this country are truly beautiful! But to be quite honest, I found the scenery of Cape Town, S. A. to be the most beautiful place I have ever been. Holland was pretty great too with the windmills. Although if mountains and such is not your thing, our beaches are pretty nice here (born and raised beach bum) so I can't really complain.

When people open their eyes for a moment and close their mouths and look around to see the bigger picture, I think they will see what is happening. People in the US are constantly worrying about petty things such as who is what race and what religion or if something is 'socially' acceptable.
Look at what has been happening recently.
*American companies going out of business.
*American companies outsourcing jobs for bigger profits.
*9/11
*War on 'terrorism'
*More importantly, the war on the 'middle class'
*Ridiculous spending of funds
*Rising cost of Health care
*Social security crisis
...and the list goes on for quite a while.
All I can say is that there are more rich people and more poor people in the US now than ever before.
Is this a good thing? It could be if they are investing in our economy...
But what about jobs for everyone else? I know of people with Master's degrees and can't get jobs (in their field of study) because the employer is afraid of having to pay them 'too much'. What the hell is that about? We don't want to encourage people to have better lives?
Currently it is pretty hard to make a decent living in the US unless you are related to someone high in the food chain or you are born into money or you own your own business (even then it can be difficult).
Or you could take your money and try to leave the US but they're even making laws to prevent you from doing that as well.
It's supposed to be land of the free, home of the brave...not land of the rich home of the slave.

America the South America
Right now, America is for the rich. To heck with any American ideals. If they don't suit the rich, they delete them. Tax breaks for the rich, 100% increase in heat for the poor. Only rich people are in office, only poor people fight the war. Maybe it might change a little bit next election, but I'm not holding my breath or anything.

as per my answer to a previous question along these lines...the governmental structure is flawed on many levels and is riddled with inefficiency and corruption, it's allowed big business and special interest groups to essentially set domestic and foreign policy, and ultimately leans towards becoming more like a plutocracy than anything else....

SO tired of the complaints and criticisms! Of COURSE we're not perfect and of COURSE there are things that need fixing, but we ARE the BEST country in the world...and anyone who doubts it is either outside the USA and jealous or inside the USA and spoiled rotten.
