when do you give thumbs up/down?

Question

i give thumbs down:
-when someone didn't answer the question
-when someone was being too mean, but not in a funny way
-when someone goes political or green on me

i give thumbs up:
-when i really like the answer
-when they're the only one that agreed with me. :D

i only give thumbs down when someone comes against someone's race in a demeaning way or someone's religion those or just 2 touchy subjects to me but other than that i could careless

Thumbs up to the thoughtful or the funny ones.

Thumbs down rarely to rude ones.

-isnt even the answer the asker was looking for

-it actually answers the question and does it justice
-and if i like it

Thumbs down when the answer is sooo obviously wron.
Thumbs up when the answer is right and I don't have to give an answer myself or have something to add to an answer.

I use it constantly. where i work it is extremely loud, so thumbs up with a nod, is "is everything good", then i get a thumbs up for "yes" or they wave me over to discuss the issue.
I never use thumbs down. It is not a natural feeling jesture to me.

thumbs down, mostly if they're mean or purposely said something stupid/that did not have anything to do with the question.

thumbs up, if they sent a good reply, or if i agree with them. like the first answer to this question, hahah.

Thumbs down when people state the obvious - I know I have nice boobs everyone, OK!
