How long have you been married? I am surprised that you haven't figured out by now that you have to repeatedly remind most men about birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events. You also should teach your son the importance of remembering events so that his wife will be a step ahead of the game when he gets married. I am sure that it hurt you to be forgotten, but you also have to look at the big picture. Those kinds of things generally aren't as important to men as they are to women and I'm sure it wasn't done to deliberately hurt you.

Yes, this year I forgot my husband's birthday, even though it's only 4 days before mine.........which I also forgot. We have had so much going on. I have never felt to guilty or so bad. He didn't let me know until the next day when he told me how much I had hurt him. Normally, I fill out a calender with everyone's birthday for the coming year. I was so busy, I didn't do it last year. I am filling out a calender NOW so this won't happen again. I was late on everyone's birthday. But his was the worst. I still feel really crummy about it.

Maybe last year was an exception, especially if there was some distracting situation going on. If you're generally treated well the rest of the time, and if you made your annoyance quite clear last year when this happened, then it shouldn't happen again. Anyway, hope you have a very nice birthday.

aww, that's terrible. my hubby's parents forgot his bday last year (ridiculous), and they forgot mine, but they don't count anyway : ) but yeah, I know what you mean. Once my hubby wanted to give me my bday present the next day, I refused to accept it until later, making it explicitly that my bday had passed. my bday is also end of Dec and you get cheated with Xmas, and all the partying. Hope they don't forget your bday -- it's a special day, to celebrate you, the arrival of you into this world!! Happy birthday in advance : )

Not that I can remember. My brother and I are 6 years and 1 day apart. So well, at least my brother can't forget when my birthday is lol. My husband though... he can be flaky about those things. I almost forgot about his this year! (Was a week after thanksgiving).

Awww... yes! My parents always call me every year on my Birthday to wish me a Happy Birthday and one year they forgot to call me because my brother was going out of town on the day of my Birthday. I was really sad that he was leaving, but it would have been nice to get acknowledgement still. But, my parents called me the next day and sincerely apologized and sang me Happy Birthday lol. I understood that they were busy helping my brother with packing and all, but I couldn't help but be a little hurt anyways.

My mother celebrated my birthday a day too early and needed a moment to recall what day I was born.
My boyfriend threw a party for me on His Sisters birthday and totaly forgot about mine.
I forgot my birthday one year and about 3 weeks later it occured to me. Funny that nobody realized either.
3 times it's happened and well at this point in time I just find it funny.

This past year all three of my brothers forgot my birthday. My hubby and kids didn't though, so that helped, but it really hurt me too that my family didn't remember. Especially since I make a point to call them and send them a card on their bd. :(
