First of all I made sure I got all my school work done (homework and all), so as I would not have to worry about it. Many times I did my homework with my best friend. Sometimes we did completely different work but just liked having a little company. We decided together that school work came first. We encouraged each other to do our best... We found out that some of the school projects actually were a lot of fun and did them with some of our other classmates also.

Getting together with a group of our friends and going to big science museums was great!! We did some fun beach stuff too, like making all kinds of things in the sand. You should have seen the huge, fantastic alligator one girl did!!! She had a little help. Go skating together or bowling and so much more. Have a cooking party inside or out. Everyone can take part....

Have fun and prepare for the rest of your life.

Had a boyfriend. Played outside most of the time. Lived on an airforce base so security wasn't a concern which makes things a little easier. Fun times for me.

Join a sport or band. Make sure you pay attention in class, but don't get too stressed about school work. Just have fun and enjoy yourself. You need to do things that you won't regret later in life. Make sure that you can look back on those years and be happy about what you did. And please don't try to grow up too fast.

I tried but it didn't work. I hated junior high. I thought my stepdaughter was having an easier time but it turns out that she isn't. It seems to be difficult for most people. I don't know why that is. Maybe it has to do with hormones and changes.

Got involved with everything. Went to all the sporting events, cheered/danced for the football team, joined clubs and stayed active. Less time to get into trouble that way!!

kept myself out of trouble..lol...and hung around with friends who did a variety of fun stuff...like going to roller rinks, to movie theaters, playing billards, going to school dances, hanging around the house playing cards and board games...that's what I did as a teen many moons ago. But with this new generation I have no idea..lol...
