I think they do sometimes, but not all the time. I think you have to be very careful when doing so. Otherwise, it can be a real problem.

In my case it didn't; but you never know. When you spend most of your day with someone, there's almost an inherent solidarity that you share based on environment. Try to have a few dates outside of the office to see if you are compatible in other areas. If you don't have the same interests to begin with, it won't last long.

It's an ideal place to find someone that can relate to you. Someone you get to see on daily basis that strikes your curiosity, and of course, someone that has the same time off as you do. However, if it goes bad, you're stuck seeing that person every day, don't forget about the gossip, and if they start seeing someone else there; the jealously. I did that once, and when I ended it, I had to find another job because it was just too awkward.

Yes they can but if it gets serious one person either needs to transfer to another dept. if possible ot quit. Ive been there and we were very happy for a long time and working together ad nothing to do with us breaking up.

I met my wife of 13 years at work.

BUT i have seen to many bad situations - dont recommend it.

No they don't because if you get in a fight everyone is walking on eggshells because they know you're fighting. At least they knew when I had one.

never... its the simple fact that you're seeing that person everyday. so chances of jealously, boredom, fights are much more frequent and drastic...
