It's appears to be clear as day to me.
Why wouldn't see be excited for a woman to be in the running and vote for Clinton??
I've heard people who watch her show even say how she was getting all "home girl" on stage when she was with Barak.
What does that tell you?
Also, recently she was just in NH and brought up Dr. Martin Luther King saying" Martin Luther King once had a dream and you all dreamed a dream and this man (speaking about Barak) can make that dream come true!" Huh?!

No I highly doubt that's the reason. There are many white people backing Obama as well as many black people backing Hilary. Must we make everything into an issue of race? Everything is not always about race. Did you ever stop to think that maybe she agrees with his issue stances? That's like saying all black people are going to vote for Obama simply because he is black. Or all Mormons will vote for Romney simply because he is a Mormon. That is so ignorant. I'm a black female, and as of right now my vote is with Bill Richardson. My vote has nothing to do with race, but the fact that I feel he is the best candidate, with the most experience. He has done so much of the State of New Mexico and therefore I am voting for him...nothing to do with race.

First of all, your premise regarding Abe Lincoln is flawed. Do some research and you'll see what I mean. As for Oprah, where do you get that. If she supported Hillary, would it be because she's a woman [sort of], or if she supported Edwards would it be because he's white? Your are making the most basic of assumptions with absolutely no supporting evidence, even anecdotal. I would guess she supports him because she thinks he's the best of the available choices. For the record, I am a conservative and I think all candidates on both sides suck. What we need are real choices instead of these stooges.

I think she is backing Obama because she believes he is sincere and incorruptible.
Most people seem to think this about Obama. Even a cynic who was cynical about him (and about everything) thinks he is sincere. The only thing the cynic could say that was cynical about him was that he will probably be killed.
Let's hope that that doesn't happen.
Let's hope that he gets into power, avoids getting assassinated, remains incorruptible and changes things for the better.
Oprah is pretty smart. She is probably right about Obama.
It is time we have a black president who is also a sincere person. It is time we have an incorruptible president, and if he is black - well, all the better!
I also think she is right about Hillary.
...and just for the record - I am a white woman and I don't really believe in politics or politicians...
but maybe Obama will be able to make a difference - and he should be given the chance to try...

Absolutely Yes on both Counts----If ANY other rich, multi-billionaire, influence weilding celebrity even attempted to lead their " flock " like that ---THEY would be EXPOSED as the extreme RACIST that they are-----But , because some other bigots + some Oprah fans who never had an actual thought of their own ALLOW Oprah to continue to practice her blatant racism ( school in Africa, virtual all black charities. virtual all black film projects like " The Color Purple " ) by endorsing Obama---Oprah gets a " pass " on being a racist----It is probably both ironic ,pathetic & more than coincidental that that NO back celebrities have endorsed ANY white Candidates & ALL black celebrities have endorsed Obama.-----Then they try to cover up the fact that they are endorsing Obama ONLY because he is black by saying: " I really think Obama is the " white " man for the job "

It is certainly possible. Oprah may also recognize some of the closet history of Hillary too. Oprah may be biased to people of color but I believe she is also biased to woman. I saw some of her speech for Obama and I had to turn her off because I didn't agree with her statements in general. I think she would have had a similar stance had she been speaking for Hillary.
Fact is, I wouldn't vote for either candidate and I don't agree with Oprah's political views. I would think and hope that she would be a better person than that to back someone simply on color!

Oprah is backing Obama becuase
1. They are longtime friends
2. Politically they believe in many of the same things
Did she support Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton when they ran in the primaries NO!!!
its not "ONLY" becuase he is black too, but they certainly have experienced many of the same things a black person in white america would have experienced
theres nothing wrong with that
whites gotta get over the whole race thing

i replaced right into a known Oprah watcher till she went out campaigning for Obama. As a society, we are giving one celebrity lady way too lots ability to allow her be a call maker. My own opinion is she is helping Obama by way of fact of his race. watching her in Iowa, i spotted her exchange in speech types, and sitting next to his spouse on the chair - nodding wildly to all his words somewhat made her appear as if an fool to me. Oprah has little doubt completed alot of great philanthropic paintings, yet i somewhat have faith she is backing Obama by way of fact he's a black guy, no longer by way of fact he's the main suitable candidate. i do no longer want a president who replaced into elected consistent with one celebrity endorsement - and who has so little journey. little doubt the guy is a reliable speaker, yet our society is a lot too complicated at present to circulate with a junior senator as our president.

i think so.and yes it;s for the wrong reason if she is.i don;t think Obama is really ready for the job just yet.he has problems answering questions sometimes.it shows that he is;nt ready for the top seat yet.but Hillary on the other hand is such a phony.and i think Oprah see;s that.as other people do as well.but i really think it;s all over being the first blackman to become president of the united states.that;s no different then Hillary wanting to be the first women to become president of the united states.i don;t want either one to become president neither one of them are ready for the job at hand.this country is in some serious trouble over this war in Iraq.and who ever wins the election has some real problems to solve.and i don;t think Obama or Hillary have what it takes to get us back on track.and i;am a democrat.
