Ascended Masters -- Yogananda?

I'm not sure this is the right category for this, but...Does anybody have any good information on him? Like what it is he's about, what he did, why he's an ascended master, etc. Thank you!

Yogananda is known as Paramhansa (sometimes Paramahansa), an honorific meaning "the highest swan" usually assigned by a Teacher to a seeker with great promise.
