The real question is, does he believe ME when I say "I" am working late!

LMAO!!!!

Yep. He drives a concrete mixer truck so he's at the mercy of contractor's and other assorted morons who like to start work at 3 in the morning. Or they run into idiot pumpers who take 2 hours to offload one truck so he doesn't get back to the yard until 6 or 7 at night. Plus, when he calls to tell me he's going to be late, I can hear the truck or job site noise in the background.

If he worked in an office and I heard those same noises though, I might be less inclined to believe him.

It's a in the "gut feeling" I have been married for almost 30yrs. and a couple of years ago when he said he was working late I always got this sick feeling in my gut. I have no proof, but he acted different. He would also always delete his cell phone calls, both incoming and out. I left him because I felt something wasn't right. We are back together and now it feels good again. When he has to work late I don't get that sick feeling anymore. I also have no desire to check his cell phone. Believe me, if your gut say's something is wrong, then your'e right!

I go with my gut. When he walks in the door I act natural, ( I trust my husband, but every woman has had her suspicions) and wait to see how he reacts...go from there, if you have ever been cheated on you can spot the little signs, choose not to ignore then and you will see the truth

Looking back on a few things in my life, I have many doubts on what he said to me, newly divorced after 31 years.

If you don't believe it, go to his office. Call his office. Talk to his boss. If you do this everytime he says this, and he's really not, then he'll stop using that excuse.

The thing is, if you know for sure he isn't, what will you do??????? If you're going to stay with him, there's no need to really know, maybe.

she comes over to my office late at night to bring me food at times.. and we always end up having passionate 'fatal attraction' sex right on my desk.
