Yes I think Jaeden is too similiar to Jalyn. If you say Jaeden fast the "d" almost becomes silient. The only other name I could come up with is Joselyn pronounced (Jah-slyn) maybe you could come up with a different spelling. Good Luck!

I understand that you love those names, but Jalyn and Jaeden are almost the same. The only different in the D and the L when you say them. I think that it is hard enough for children to find their own identities and deal with sibling rivalry without having almost the same name. If you truly love Jaeden and only Jaeden, then I think your children will survive. However, I would certainly use Jaeden as a last resort.

What about these names which would go well with Jalyn:
Addison and Jalyn
Peyton and Jalyn
Riley and Jalyn
Kaitlyn and Jalyn
Reagan and Jalyn
Skyla and Jalyn
Ashlyn and Jalyn
Kaleigh and Jalyn
Hayden and Jalyn
Kacie and Jalyn
Keely and Jalyn
Kierra and Jalyn
Kenzie and Jalyn
Lacey and Jalyn
Laney and Jalyn
Shayla and Jalyn
Shayna and Jalyn
Tayla and Jalyn
Tyra and Jalyn
Camryn and Jalyn
Emlyn and Jalyn
Fallon and Jalyn
Haven and Jalyn
Ashtyn and Jalyn
Jillian and Jalyn
Lauren and Jalyn
Kirsten and Jalyn
Raven and Jalyn
Megan and Jalyn
Morgan and Jalyn
Tamsin and Jalyn
Teagan and Jalyn
Avery and Jalyn
Kennedy and Jalyn
Presley and Jalyn
Gracyn and Jalyn

good luck finding the perfect name!n I personally like
Gracyn and Jalyn and Kayleigh and Jalyn.

Jalyn and Jaeden are both very pretty names. I would go for it. Yes, they are very similar in sound, but you know what... parents usually get their children's names mixed up anyway, even if they don't sound anything alike! LOL

I think they're both really trendy. there will be at least 5 Jaedens in her class! I agree with you that they sound quite similar. I'd keep looking.

Since Jalen (and all its variants) is fast rising as a sound-alike alternative to overly-popular Jadon (and all ITS variants LOL), I'd have to say that the two would easily be too similar for my taste.

Of course, Jadon itself became so overused thanks to the rhyming -aden names trend, most of which are also traditionally masculine and commonly used as trendy crossovers, so it seems Aidan, Braden, Caden or Hayden (for example) would also appeal. Same sound. Same style. Heck, same trend. But not literally one subtle sound off of your first daughter's name. ;)

Others fond of Jadon for girls also tend to like ...

Madison
Ashley
Alexis
Taylor
Savannah
Sydney
Morgan
Avery
Mackenzie
Riley
Paige
Aubrey
Bailey
Kennedy
Shelby
Peyton/Payton
Skylar
Kendall

Hope that helps.

Jaeden (Jayden) is very popular in the US and I love it (here in the UK). I am called Brian and my bro is called Ryan, never caused any problems accept when mum was yelling for us to come into the house at meal times. Here is a good source for names - http://www.kitt.net/babynames.html

both are unusual to say the least. Hopefully when the kids get older they won't get made fun of by other kids due to their strange names. I'll bet they will be the only ones in town (or the state) with those names.

It sounds unique to an adult, but strange to a child in school. Kids will be cruel and just keep in mind that strange names get made fun of. a more common name like Jacquline, Jordan, Jessica, etc. would probably be better and use the unique name as a middle name.
