Nortons is pure garbage and a resource hog. They are only good at skilled marketing. You can download Avast free for home personal use, and you will get auto. updates on the hour and a background scanner that really works 100% to kill a hidden embedded virus on a webpage or file in real time. Plus low on resources. (Save your money).

Or you can use an antiviurs I use and the Govt. Of China uses for a one time fee of $29.99 for life. You will get daily auto. updates and all new versions for life. This software is state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other antivirus program on the market. (I am a beta tester for ten years of antivirus/antispyware software).

Plus is also Vista approved.

I personally wouldn't go for Norton,
I use NOD32 with my Vista, never experience a problems of viruses or worms.

NOD32 has been rated as one of the best antivirus program in the market, very effective and take minimum system resources.

I also have been working with F-secure for 3 yrs, without any problems of viruses and spywares....F-secure is very very good in detecting spywares and blocking tracking cookies from being dowanloaded in ur pc!,no other antivirus over an outstanding spywares detection like F-Secure,so with F-Secure you no longer need any additional antispyware program.

Kaspersky is the only antivirus that has a 99.6% of virus detection rate...but has taken a bunch of system resources when I tried it on my system

Avoid free ones, you get what you are paying for!.

BitDefender is also in top but very heavy on pc.

Norton & Mcafee is not popular now and they became the last choice in the market.

Finally I would recommend F-Secure or NOD32...and take a look to this link, will help you much to decide,

As Polo said it is cheaper at PC world at the moment.
There are many in Ebay, probably some on auction currently cheaper than PC world, but a lot of people are bidding on them as the auction comes closer to its end, and the final prices are way above PC worlds current price.

I'm in no hurry I'm using Ebays bid assistant with a view of getting it for £15 including postage.

As other people have said (see below) you can buy it half-price at PC World at the moment but beware. Norton will really slow your system down. You'd be better off going for AVG (which is free to download) and does not slow your computer down. Best of luck.

I would read up on Norton 360 first before you buy.
