My dad because he had such a rough life learning to adapt to white ways and never complained about it and taught us to adapt and it's very difficult. I know how it is for me and he had it 10 times as bad!!!! He couldn't speak English when he started to school and was punished for speaking in his Native tongue to his siblings in boarding school!!!He was a very humble man!!!

Yes, very much and that would be when I watched the movie about Joan of Arc.I remember watching and thinking (actually a prayer) I would love to have the kind of faith and love she had for the Lord. That may sound silly to some people but I really did,for her to not deny him and to be put up on that wooden stack to be burned alive! She had such strength!I would only hope in this day and time that I could have just a little of that.

Interesting question. My parents were both very much in love with each other, and loved the three of us with all their might. Our relatives were just wonderful, too. No one spoke a bad word about the other. We spent weekends and sometimes weeks at my Aunt's farm. She was such a gentle soul. Never saw a movie in color, never drove (she's been gone a long time now). Never had any children of her own, so she took care of us with great love. She loved the earth and all the things it could bring forth. Lovely garden. She loved all things alive, including bugs, which she thought were interesting. In fact, everything held interest for her. I try to live the way she did.

Aunt Sara! She was always positive and gentle. Encouraging and supportive without even realizing it. She still is like that. She showed me the kind of person I wanted to become. Until her 70's she was so sweet and naive she did not realize how mean people can be. It actually hurt her to see that not everyone loves like she does.

My Uncle Fred and Aunty Bella, they had us children every year for our holidays on their farm. I will never forget them and what they did for us when times were hard. When I got married my father in law was unable to come due to the distance and Uncle Fred deputised and gave my wife away. I think of them every day although they died nearly thirty years ago.

My maternal grandad...elegant man, educated, yet full of nonsensical fun, great cook, loved him tremendously! He had such style and I think about several times a week. He died when I was 11 yet the memories are vivid.
