Yes. Effectively you are moving 1 step forwards each time.

That said, if you ONLY take 2 steps forwards, then 1 step back, then stop, then you won't get there in the end unless the destination was only 1 or 2 steps away in the first place!

It depends where "there" is. You need to ask if "there" is reachable by footsteps. If yes, then you will get there. If no, then you can take a billion steps forward and 1/2 billion backwards, you'll never reach it.

Of course you will. Slowly, but surely you'll make it. Just don't try it on a day when you have something else planned. It could possibly take up the majority of your day if you are planning on going any distance!!!
