Without time nothing moves. Every thing moves only with time.

So the 'absolute purpose' of time i would say is to make sense out of all the matter spread out in this universe.

To make our lives organized. Can you imagine a life without time? Not knowing the exact instance to meet with someone or to go somewhere. Time is the very essence of our lives. It is how we move on from one day to another. It is the very reason for the existence of our hopes and dreams.
