I recently download foxfire (something like that) to do my kodak picture. Ever since then my pc seems to be doing something odd where its saving things and just running space. How can I tell if there was a program downloaded triggering this or what can I do to check if there are files I can delete?

Check your task manager for processes running in the background. You should also check your virtual memory to see if you have enough allocated (usually 1.5 times the amount of RAM you have). My guess though would be spyware. That, or you have an older PC and need more memory.

First of all do disk clean up

My Computer>right click on Local Disk c: and click properties, no click disk clean up, once scanning is done, select all the boxes and click clean.
I dont think there is a way you can check if there was a program downloaded triggering your problem
to check you task manager click Ctrl+Alt+Delete > Processes

Have you checked how much "free space" you have on your hard drive. Windows needs a certain amount of "free soace" for creating the files it needs to run. If there is not enough sapce, you will get memory errors, crashes, etc.

You need to have at least 10% of your hard drive "free" for Windows and other programs to run properly. If you are below 1 gig (or 1000mb), you will definately have all kinds of problems.

I recommend 2 free programs called WinDirStat and
Ccleaner.

WinDirStat gives you a graph of everything that takes space
on your pc. but be careful removing anything that's essential
to running your windows os.

Ccleaner cleans up unneeded space. i would uncheck
the web browsers off the list, that way you keep passwords, etc.

WARNING: use both programs carefully.

click on my computer then click on c look to the left to see how many gig you have left

if it is full then you will have to delete unwanted files etc or burn them of to a disk and then delete them - the other thing you can do is get another harddrive use this as a slave drive and copy and paste your current files to it then your main drive will be freed up
