staying off your feet promotes your body's ability to remove any swelling and aids the cortisone in removing inflammation. Maintain the exact 48 hours from the time you got the shot. Keep your feet elevated as much as possible above the level of your heart. The cortisone started doing it's work the minute it was injected, but it takes time to remove all the results of the inflammation that caused the problem in the first place.

Just wondering if you have persued other treatments first. Stretching etc.... I have tile floors and found that after moving in my feet began to kill and developed plantar fascitis from walking barefooted. I have flat feet. Anyway, I started wearing sandals around the house and problem is gone!!!!!! I refused the shots from the dr because I hadn't tried other options first. Good luck

I had that injection done once. I wasn't told not to walk on it. Since my foot was numb, I went grocery shopping and was excited because I COULD walk around without pain. The next day my foot HURT!!!!!!!!! I'd say if the doctor told you to stay off your foot for 48 yours you should do what he says.

Luckily for me, the shot was done a year or more ago and I haven't had the pain since. Knock wood.

wow. im sure everyone tried it!! why : the brain co-ordinates the movements of the entire body. particularly the hands and the feet, so when you are turning your right foot in clockwise direction, by drawing 6 with your hand, which is an ANTI-CLOCKWISE MOVEMENT, the brain then makes the foot go anti-clockwise. Thats how perfect GOD made us!!
