m = (1 + 3) / (- 1 + 10)
m = 4 / 9
y - 1 = (4/9) (x + 1)
y = (4/9)x + 4/9 + 1
y = (4/9)x + 13/9

Slope intercept form means y=mx+b

to find the slope...

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(1-(-3))/(-1-(-10))

4/9 is the slope

so...y=4/9x+b

Find b...

plug in one of your points to find b.

(1)=(4/9)(-1)+B

b=(13/9)

so...finally...

y=(4/9)x + (13/9)

Hope this helps!
