In each bag there are 56 cats, or 224 legs. There are 49 bags, so 49x224 = 10,976. Add 14 legs for the girls, and you get 10,990.
If there is a bus driver, add two more legs to get 10,992
Now, the real question is - what girl do you know that is strong enough to carry even ONE bag with 56 cats in it, much less SEVEN?

1 girls has 2 legs she has 7 bags with 7 cats = 49 cats
each cat has 7 kittens 49 cats * 7 kittens = 343
1girl = 2 legs
49 cats = 196
343 kittens = 1372
2+196+1372= 1570 * 7 = 10990
thanks for something to do even though
everyone who is counting the people/cat is wrong the first person is correct the questing is how many legs on the BUS busses don't have legs.I may be wrong CPUcate has a good answer. This is a good question I'm wondering what the answer is. LOL

You did not say if the kittens are in the bag or not. But what you state shows the cats do have kittens but they are not in the bags.
Total number of legs of girls = 7 * 2 = 14
Total number of legs of cats in each girl's bag = 7 * 4 = 28
Total number of legs of cats in one girl's bags = 7 * 28 = 196
Total number of legs of cats in all the girls' bags = 7 * 196 = 1372
Therefore, the total number of legs on the bus = 14 + 1372 = 1386
By the way, does the bus have a driver?:P

If you just count the girls legs = 14.
If you count just the girls legs + the cats legs + the kittens legs = 10,990
In 1 bag from 1 girl there is 224 legs in a bag from the cats and its kittens. Times 7 = 1,568 for 1 girl with 7 bags. Then + 2 (for the girls legs) = 1,570. 1,570 times 7 (for all of the other girls) = 10,990

7 kittens = 28 legs
28 kitten legs per 7 bags = 196 kitten legs
196 kitten legs + 7 cats legs (28) = 224 cat n kitten legs
224 cat n kitten legs + 14 human legs =

Hmmm thats a hard one and deserves a star!
Since the girls have two legs and there are 7 of them you would multiply 2x7 which would give you 14 legs in total for the girls...now do the same for the cats...then the kittens...and add all of the legs up. Keep in mind how many legs one cat has though....it's not two like humans. Good luck and let me know what you come up with!
