Cartoons and movies are the same. You have some that are looking for an adult audience and others at a kids audience. And watching Coyote get an ACME anvil dropped on his head is not really close to any slasher/scary movie out there. You need to get involved with your child. Watch what they watch and see if its acceptable. This question could be debated for hours. Get involved with your kids and you can help them with what they can and can not watch. Peace out..............

What many parents don't realise is that cartoons aren't always for kids. Things like The Simpsons, Family Guy and King of the Hill are all aimed at adults. Not to mention South Park, if I had kids I would die before I let them watch that. Luckily for my kids, we're not going to have a TV. I grew up without one and it was the best thing my parents could have done.

I understand what you are saying. So cartoons can be violent and some are not appropriate for kids at all (South Park, Family Guy...ect.)

I hate slasher movies because the violence almost always has a sexual tone to it, besides the fact that it's just disturbing to me.....

I have kids of widely varying ages, from 20 down to 4 yrs. old.
My teens have to share the TV, so there's not a lot of violent
stuff on anyway.

Have you seen some of the scary movies that are out there now? I doubt if you would allow a child to see them. I doubt that you have kids but you are talking nonsense. Parents should monitor everything kids watch including cartoons.
