x = books

Cost = 10.25x + 47064
Revenue = 23.50x

10.25x + 47064 = 23.50x

47064 = 13.25x
3552 = x

3552 books

subtract the cost from the sale then divid by the total amount. so 10.25 - 23.5= 13.25 then take 47064 and divide by 13.25 and you get 3552. that will be to break even so you would need to sell 3553 to make a profit.

TC = TR
FC + (Q*VC) = Q*P

47064+(10.25x)=23.5x
47064=23.5x-10.25x
47064=13.25x
x=47064/13.25
x=3552

The total cost(TC) is equal with total revenue (TR) at 3552 pcs of book sold.
