Having mice in the house isn't cool at all, it's pretty nasty. You should do all you can to trap and poison them...

Mice can carry the hunta (that's not spelt right but that's how it sounds) virus. It is airborne from the feces and is fatal in humans. A women died in my area last year after cleaning out her garage, she swept the floor and she'd had mice. Specifically deer mice.
I live Alberta, Canada and this is a concern especially in rural areas. Don't know anything abouts rats as we are rat free in Alberta.

Pretty much. More often it's not the mouse himself, it's the blood-sucking parasites he might be carrying around with him, like fleas, that are the danger. In any case, mice and rats are undesirable house guests unless they're bred in captivity and live in a cage.

There's a lot of mice in the world, and I'm yet to hear of any deaths attributed to them. Their cousin the rat is a different story.
That said, I wouldn't suggest putting them on your dinner menu!!

Not if you keep your food stuff, well locked, always covered.
Clean your untencils when using them, wipe your plates and other things with a wet towel, and that should take care of your worries. Or else call the PEST CONTROL.

Yes. You shouldn't eat any bodily waste that comes from any animal, including mice. And they do carry diseases too.

rodents can carry parasites that will harm you. Ok to raise them, just be sure you are washed before eating food.

Yes.
Very unhealthy.
They even bite an adult, but infants are more susceptible to the bites.
Still people have them as pat and they must cage them.
