Usually with Indian kids, the birth color changes after 2-3 months. So whatever you see during the first month may not be true. I had seen kids who were born black and become fairer in 3 months and vice-versa. So wait for a while.
Even if the color does not change after 3-4 months, you cannot do anything. It's genetics. You are a mom and you have to think what is good for your child. So don't use creams to make him fairer. Start to love him un-conditionally for what he is. It does not matter whether he's white or black. He's you kid and you better love him.
It's not the kids color that has to be changed. It's your attitude towards an infant.

Honey there isn't anyway to change his fairness. What type of question is this? Are you not proud of your work? Is there something wrong with being Darker than others? You need to get real honey, God doesn't make mistakes. The baby is what it is! Children usually brighten or darken on their own. You keep worrying about the baby;s complexion, and other stuff will go wrong. Have you ever heard of being greatful of what you have? Some women would kill to have a baby, any baby, and you're sitting here complaining about your baby's skin tone. GROW UP! Remember to not sleep with dark complected males, they will give you dark complected babies...SMART GUY!

Hi , please understand that the colour of a baby is determined by his or her biological factors and that is unique to each and every person. Colour does not determine the beauty of a person. If you worry about the colour of your baby, then as the baby grows it will make him very concious of it and also make him an insecure person. As a mother , look at the person that he is, build his character, teach him to value people, teach him confidence , teach him to values for life. That is the gift that you should give him, and not try to change his colour. Nobody cares if you are white your husband brown and your baby is brown. Everybody will admire a bubbly and happy baby and equally proud and happy parents. Good luck

Leave that child alone! I am an olive, skinned, green eyed, straight brown haired, tan as dark as a brown bear woman who comes from a family of ALL red curly haired, fair freckled skinned, sun burn easily, blue eyed siblings! My claim to fame was I WAS THE BLACK SHEEP! LOL. My Mom had the Irish red and my Dad the dark hair, however, my straight hair and my Indian appearance (which I am so proud of) came from my Maternal Great-grandmother. We have a tad of French Canadian Indian! I guess the point is, we are who we are. We all have a wealth of history behind us. Finding who we are and where we came from is a terrific journey. Anyway, there is nothing you can do to change his color!! I don't understand why you would want to. If either you or your husband darken easily when exposed to the sun, that will explain your son's color. Our ancestor's do play a part in the appearance of our children, as well.

i suggest u not to do anything coz if u try to make a baby's complexion fairer,it may harm the baby as their skin is very tender, just make sure u give him/her a good bath everyday and take care of the kid's skin....it'll make the baby grow into a beautiful adult
i am 16 yrs and hate science but v did this in a chapter:
the reason for ur kid being dark is previous generations
Think about ppl with bad skin....does any1 discriminate them?
However u can give ur baby a bath with multani mitti/fullers earth ,its good for the skin(its a natural cleanser) and does not contain chemicals.
For heavens sake dont try to change the kids colour .... u'll regret it later ... love the baby for wat he/she is...and certainly not the colour
And dark skin is better than fair skin coz it has more melanin and gives more sun protection and protects skin from allergies
Get a life woman!

Have you tried washing him?
His skin tone will settle to whatever nature intended over time. Keep him clean and top fussing. Or do you know something your husband doesn't?

What is wrong with you? Your baby is the color they should be. Sounds like you have been hanging out with Michael Jackson or something. Next you will want to bleach your baby......

You cant change genetics so please dont attempt to try anything crazy (like mixing chemicals or something) to try to change this. Love & like your child unconditionly. Besides baby's only a month chances are his skin will change slightly in color so will his eyes.
