If I needed to make 3/4 a fraction with a denominator of 10 what would it be. I know this is simple math but I can't do it.

10 = 4*2.5
? = 3*2.5 = 7.5

3/4 = (3*2.5) / (4*2.5) = 7.5 / 10

3/4 = 0.75 = 7.5/10

3/4 = ?/10
the lowest common denominator is 2 (2 x 2= 4) (2 x 5 = 10)
take the multiple and multiply it by the numerator given (3) (2 x 3 = 6)
therefore
3/4 = 6/10

Ok. Let me walk you through this. What x what equals 10? 2x5. So 2/5 x 3/4 = 6/20. Then we have to figure out what the greatest common factor of 6 and 20 is. That factor is 2. So 6/20 divided by 2/2 = 3/10.

3/4 = 15/20 = 7½ / 10 = 30/40 etc

4 x 2.5=10

∴3/4=7.5/10

take ?=x;
3*10=4*x;
30=4x
x=30/4
x=7.5


3/4=7.5/10
