Hello, is this the sheriff's Office?" "Yes. What can I do for you?" "I'm
calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith....He's hidin' marijuana
inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs,
but he's hidin' it there." "Thank you very much for the call, sir."

The next day, the Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search
the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every
piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.

Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house. "Hey, Virgil! This here's
Floyd....Did the Sheriff come?" "Yeah!" "Did they chop your firewood?"

"Yep!" "Happy Birthday, buddy!" (Rednecks know how to git-R-dun

That is so cute. Maybe I need to try that with all these downed trees and limbs here in the yard, lol. All this ice has taken it's tole on all the trees in our yard. Only thing is, these are all over the yard.

I have chopped firewood and have used a chain saw a few times as well.

With an actual axe -- about 5 years ago. But that included starting fro the tree all the way down to the logs to fit in the fireplace. Since then, I've started using a chainsaw. I don't know if you're including chainsaws, but it would be about last August. I still have some logs left in the back of the truck too.

I am not surprised. Ever seen a redneck bass boat? You take two 2 by sixes and screw a folding lawn chair to them. Add a couple of cup holders to each side and a trolling motor in front. Keep the fishing poles behind you, the beer tied to the legs of the chair and in the water for anchors and you're ready to go.

Thank you so much for posting that. I am still laughing. (I am 64 years old, and being senile has its rewards. I have read it 3 times and I enjoyed it and laughed again all 3 times.)
