What Abrahams did would have been legal if he had admitted doing it. You might not like the idea of people giving money to the Labour party, but there's no law against it. Trades Union members have been giving them millions for years.

The Darwins are alleged to have claimed on a life assurance policy by faking Mr D's death. There's a law against that.

It could be argued that Nu Labour have been claiming donations under false pretences for years ... is there any difference in the pretence that the Labour party is still alive and claiming those millions from Unions etc. ? Somehow I think I know which is the greater crime.
