Could a surgeon make incisions and peel back the covering flesh over a face - just like a mask - so a person's eyes and skull and everything is exposed with the face pulled back.

Then could the person be consious with the face pulled back?
(after the surgeon should be able to push it back on)

A full facial transplant was done recently, I think in France. Google it for details.

And I've heard that this is similar to how some plastic surgery is done - the face is essentially cut and lifted away to build up or remove bone, etc, to reshape the face. I am not any sort of medical professional, though, so again, google is your friend.

Dude - ew.
But yes. They have recently performed a full facial transplant using a dead ladies face to reconstruct a burns victim.

I thought this was science fiction until The Daily Show mentioned it and made reference to a Nip/Tuck episode which I had seen.

was it due to an accident or you're planning on doing something wild?
