Honestly, those problems really aren't going to be solved.

Pretty much all of those issues are there because of the way mankind is in the first place. In order to fix those problems, you would have to change the very nature of mankind.

Its like poverty. There is no way to get rid of it. There will always be people that choose to be poor. There are people that will not work, no matter what is put in front of them, they would rather be out on the streets. Unless you can change that fact, poverty will not go away.
Same thing with hunger. Look around, give money to some of the people by the side of the road, I've done it. You'll find out really fast what most of them want. They would rather go buy something that makes them feel good, rather than food.

Agree with the above and also consider that people cannot care about others any more than they care about themselves.

Some people are so self centered that they will never care about others and there’s not much you or I can do to change them for no one can change anyone against their will.

You can however model caring behavior and sometimes that can be contagious.

The issues have to relevant to their lives in order for them to care. Make it affect them, otherwise it will be an uphill battle.

Threats and blackmail.

If you want someone to do something... you have to make sure that it is in their own best interests to do it.... and the usual means is by ensuring exceedingly unpleasant consequences if they don't.
