1st off, I am Totally jealous of those who saw them yesterday in London! I've been hearing nothing but great reviews & of course, watching em on Youtube.

Even though I *thought* read Page say the show wasn't being recorded, it'd seem *crazy* for them to Not tour. They could ca$h in BIG time. So maybe this show was a "rehearsal" for a tour. Yes, ticket prices will be inSANE....but this is Zeppelin.

I will pony up the cash for *them*!

I do remember a few nay-sayers here a few weeks ago about this show. aHEM! ;)

What're your thoughts?

Lol w/ Darth! You & me both, dude! This is literally once in a lifetime. We totally missed out during their hey day. I think I'd be willign to shell out up to 100-200 bucks.

The part that discouraging if they tour is the fact that pretty much the entire floor in front of the stage will all be reserved for music biz suits, their friends, fam' & associates. All the goos seats will be corporate...& radio station contest winners & the rest of us will have to pray we get a ticket when they go for sale online.
It'll be a miracle if myself or anyone I know will get one. Might be a good idea to get some tips on how to better snag tix if/when they go on sale...IF they tour, that is. ;)

I've got to agree with TM on this one. There's no way they would have gone to all the trouble and effort that they did for a one off charity show. I mean, for Christ sakes, they brought out the huge Knebworth video screen and laser pyramid from the '77 tour...that and they looked like they were having a blast up there. As I've been saying repeatedly over the last twenty four hours, Led Zeppelin -even without Bonzo, and his kid filled his shoes quite nicely- hasn't played a show THIS GOOD since at least 1973. They'd be f-ckin' crazy not to take it to the next level...I can't see any of 'em saying, "Well, that was fun, see you again in another twenty years." Not even Robert Plant. He was right into it, man, moreso than I've seen him in years. They all kicked a-s last night...I've never been prouder to be a Zeppelin fan than I am today.

Nope...I have a feeling that we've seen the beginning of Zeppelin Mach 2. I don't know how big a tour they'd do, but though I think tickets would be expensive, I don't think they'd be anyworse than they are for the Stones or the Eagles or CSNY or any of those guys. Hell, maybe even cheaper; after all, it wasn't Jimmy Page who set the 02 ticket prices, it was that slimebag Harvey Goldsmith (a typical rock promoter who naturally wants to cash in as much as possible...look at Bill Graham when he was still around). Led Zeppelin was always very aware of the fact that their fans essentially made them as big as they were, and never, not once, did the band ever bite the hand that fed them. Who the hell else played three hour shows without intermissions or opening acts? Certainly not The Rolling Stones.

So I'd suggest all us Zeppelin fans better keep a good eye on Ticketmaster in the next while...I think 2008 is going to be a good year.

I still can't get over how GOOD the 02 show was...my best friend from high school was there (lucky b-stard!) and though he was totally sloshed when he called me from London after the show, he not only said it was the best concert he'd ver been to (and pretty much if you name 'em, he's seen 'em) was certain they'd tour too. "They HAVE to," he told me. "You don't just walk away after a show like that, it'd be the most anti-climactic letdown in history. They'd spend the rest of their lives kicking themselves for not doing it."

At first, I was skeptical about the reunion show, it seemed like everyone was jumping on the reunion bandwagon just to make some money. Still, I'd love to see Led Zeppelin, even if they are much older now. About 10 years ago, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page toured together and came to my town, and I missed it. I never stopped kicking myself for that one. But this would be even better...3 of the members, and it'd be all Zeppelin songs! I'd pay as high as $300 or $400 for a ticket. I'd pay even more if I had the money. Something tells me that ticket prices will be insane though.

I would go, no doubt! I might not be able to afford it, but i'd find a way. Sure, it's not the same without Bonzo on the drum kit, but Zeppelin is Zeppelin. Opportunity comes, I'll take it! Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and JIMMY PAGE (guitar god) are 3 good enough reasons, not to mention the numerous songs that rock!

I've read reports that Led Zeppelin are planning a tour in 2008, with The Cult opening for them. Ian Astbury, of The Cult, recently said at a concert that they'd be back next year because they're opening for a band who's name starts with L, and there's a Z in there. Led Zep's people have denied this, saying "maybe The Cult are opening for Limp Bizkit", but that's about as likely as Eminem opening for Vanilla Ice.

yeah I am jealous to, I was also watching videos on youtube, and I noticed that Robert Plant's voice is starting to fade away I noticed on some songs, Jimmy Page had to tune his guitar down a half step so Robert could sing along. I agree with Wolf somewhat I don't think I would be able to afford tickets even if they did tour again

Well, they certainly allowed at least some of it to be filmed, because clips were shown on the BBC News last night, with 'Courtesy of Led Zeppelin' written across the top.
So it may well get a DVD release.

I don't know if I would want to see them ~ I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford tickets!
I read that someone at a charity auction payed £83,000 for a pair of tickets to last night.

Maybe they'll tour, maybe they won't. From what they've said previously, it's John Paul Jones who doesn't really want to do it.

I wish i could've been there. After seeing some of the footage from last night, i was green with envy.

It would not surprise me in the least if they decided to do a world tour of some kind. I know i'll be going to see them if they do, no matter how much debt i will be in afterwards. Just give me a date and a place and i'll be there.

Being able to see Led Zeppelin pull off a successful reunion, even if it's via YouTube, is the best possible birthday present I could get.

Fonzie, If they were to come to Detroit for example, I would pay as much as they wanted to see the show. It is a MUST on the to do list, and music is one area that I will splurge. Check out our local website, www.wrkr.com to see some pics from the show; they sent over a fan for the show.
