2. Carlton - Aaron Joseph (18 years old)(From Tassie Mariners, Tasmania)
- AA U18 2007
- Best Tasmanian player U18 @ carnival player 2007
- 2nd leading disposal winner in the carnival (87 disposals at an average of 29 per game) - ball magnet
- Equal 1st for goal assists in the carnival (7) - good disposal and hurt factor
- Tested very well at draft camp in particular for the 20m sprint (6th - 2.91s) and agility test (1st - 7.91s) - powerful athlete combined with good endurance base.
- Arguably the 2nd best clearance inside midfielder in this years stock (to Masten) - very valuable type of player
- Has senior footy experience playing for the Tassie Devils in VFL
Reportedly has excellent endurance as well, tough and hard at it and can also play a 'run with'/negating role with the ability to work of his opponent well. Only weakness I've heard is that he's short (178cm - good build at 75kg)

18. Carlton - Lachie Hill (18 years old) (From Oakleigh Chargers, Vic)
Super quick player who highlighted his pace with 2.96sec time for 20m at the NAB AFL Draft Camp as well as a ranking in the top two per cent of participants in the agility run (8.05sec). A standing vertical leap (74cm) and running vertical jump (88cm) saw him ranked in the top five per cent of those tested. Vic Metro U18 representative this year, he is also capable around goals.

34. Carlton - David Ellard (18 years old)( From Swan Districts, Western Australia.)
Small goalkicking player who is also a high possession winner. Kicked three goals on debut for Swan Districts at WAFL senior level in 2007.
Position: Small forward.
Height: 176.7cm .
Weight: 71.8kg.
48. Carlton - Michael Shields(21 years old) (From County Cork, Ireland)
Height: 185cm
Weight: 85kg
Well-built running midfielder.

I'm not even going to check who Collingwood selected because the Magpies are going so bad it doesn;t matter who we get. We will probably do what we do each year and pick up some old players discarded by other clubs.

Collingwood wanted to pick some soccer players to teach our players how to dive for free kicks better and also fake injuries. We were going to also try to recruit some lady netball players to try to toughen our players up.
