Because for the past 40 years the Democrats have been making all kinds of promises to make life better for them. Two problems with that, one, they have yet to deliver and two, they have no incentive to deliver (if they actually improved things for blacks, they might decide to vote based on issues and the Dems know they might loose their iron grip).
Hey Josie, you should read some pre-Civil War History. The Republican party was specifically formed to end slavery and you might even learn that Lincoln was a Republican.

The real answer is "They Don't". Like with most of the European Americans, most African Americans don't vote.
The remainder have the common sense not to vote against their own personal interest. The real Question is Why do Caucasians vote for Republicans. Most are not Rich. Most are not part of the 1% that benefit from his tax cuts. They lose just as many jobs from outsourcing than African Americans. They have no healthcare and they are being shafted as much as African Americans by the dismantling of Social Security, the growing Budget Deficit and the Trade imbalance exastrobated by this Current Republican Administration. The fact that the few Blacks who vote don't support being lied to is not as strange as the fact that most Whites do.

Considering the Republican Party was formed to help end slavery, it is rather surprising, isn't it? I believe it stems back to the Civil Rights movement of the sixties when Johnson was in office. His administration did more for civil rights in the modern era than any other presidency. What some people fail to recognize though, is that he did it wih a Republican Congress giving the changes he made their seal of approval. Be that as it may, I believe they may recognize which side of the aisle their bread is currently buttered on. Somehow, the Republican Party, for the most part, managed to lose the black vote. No small feat, considering its history.

Have you read the alternatives on YA, If I was a person of color I wouldn't vote for the white redneck party. Republicans don't have people of color the poor or the middle class for that matter, interests at heart.
I am not trying to put anybody down but I personally have gotten slammed by the Republicans on here for even suggesting we do something crazy like helping everyone receive the best education and health care. Even though millions of people that work don't have health care they said I just wanted to give hand outs to the lazy.

The info communicate for themselves. i've got heard Obama supporters asserting that Clinton supporters might desire to vote for Obama because of the fact their positions are fairly much comparable. If that is they case, then there is in user-friendly terms one clarification for Obama getting ninety% of the black vote interior the primaries.

Of the blacks that I KNOW They don't vote for dems. They have jobs and make cash. When a man makes money he is less tempted to vote for higher taxes.

These numbers have bounced around over the years.
It also shows that republicans are higher educated than democrats. (Contrary to what democrats have been trying to fill in people's pipes.)
