With his court vision and superior passing, his style of basketball is perfect for the run and gun style of the Phoenix Suns. But as we've seen in the last few seasons, even though Phoenix has had arguably the most talented team in the whole league, they can't seem to get anywhere with their run and gun basketball.
But if Steve Nash was to get traded to another team, he would have to adjust his style more fittingly for a defensive team.
My question is, even with Steve's talent how effective he be if he was the point guard of championship teams like Heats, Spurs or Pistons? The defensive style of these teams are something that Steve is not accustomed to since he is not exactly a very strong defensive player.

But say if nash was traded to a team like san antonio, how effective would he be, since spurs make defense their number one priority, his defensive liability would be more evident than ever. I asked this question mainly because ive seen how suns have been doing the last few seasons and they don't seem to be getting anywhere, and i assume nash would want a ring before he retires, so if he was to be traded to a team like the spurs, would he play a big part in the success of a team that makes defense a priority.
